David and I met from this site in June of 2009. Right away we clicked and hit it off. We've trveled via sailboat to Catalina, gone snowboarding, to the desert, and Las Vegas, and now we are actually expecting a child in November. It wasn't planned,but we are so excited! I (Donna) signed up on this site when i just found out about HSV. I never was looking for a serious relationship and this was a support system for me. I met many amazing people and often distance was the issue although i was willing to relocate. My partner and I lived 500 miles away from each other and we just though we'd take a chance and meet up half way. We decided to try to have a relationship and 3 years later we got married...obviously it worked out :). I met someone that I felt so strong a connection with, that distance was not an issue and finally I am moving to the USA (from Canada) to start a new life. Its exciting. This site not only is the reason I met my partner but it gave me hope, a backup and something with which I could carry on everyday knowing that I had this support system backing me up. The last day of my gold membership I looked thru profiles and found a guy that I thought fit all the requirements I was searching for. Boy did I find the right guy. I have never met anyone so compatable to me. I have always felt I was an outsider because of how I view things and my standards. Well this guy meets them all and then some. I decided to fly him up for my birthday party. Could have been a disaster, wasn't. It was like we have known eachother for years. All of my friends really like him. I have been searching for more than five years for someone I could get along with for more than a few months and I believe I finally found him! Some people thought I was being to picky, but I refused to settle for someone simply because I was lonely. I didn't want a Mr. Right now so waited for my Mr. Right, and couldn't be happier. We have been dating for almost six months now and still get along wonderfully. We both have weaknesses, but choose to over look them because we get along so well in every other area of priority.
