My name is Kris. I have been on P.S. since the end of 2009.
Since 2009, I have corresponded with many people, went out on several dates and I had a few long-term (approx. 1 year each)relationships with men that I met on P.S. However, it didn't take long for me and Jerry to recognize that we had met our life partner(s).

Jerry and I exchanged a few e-mails and we decided to meet for a drink. On the first date, we were standing at two opposite doors and thought we had been stood up. We both walked to a mutual corner and discovered each other. We were instantly attracted to one another and quickly developed a relationship.
Jerry is a wonderful man and I'm thankful that I met him. He didn't have a photo posted on P.S. but I do pride myself on actually reading peoples' profiles.

Jerry proposed to me last Sunday on a beautiful Spring day.
We returned to the location of our first date. We will likely have an outdoor wedding ceremony in this same area in... Read Full Story>>

I met my partner on your website at the very last moment when she replied to my dislikes section. I said that I'd rather not date someone who smoked because I don't like the smell & it give the person bad breath. She replied to my comment just about the time as I was going to delete my account. She also said that it was to bad that I was so far away from her because she would've wanted to chat. So I replied back with " you shouldn't let distance keep you from knowing a person or could potentially be your future partner. From that day she gave me her # & we kept in contact with each other everyday till now that we are a couple. I live in New Jersey & she lives in Washington State, but I went to visit her a few weeks later for Christmas & New Year's. Following my visit I also been back three other times to see her including Valentine's Day & going to visit again for Easter. It's now been almost five months since we've been together & we do plan on moving in together by the end of the sum... Read Full Story>>

Her: I had been diagnosed with HSV 2 two years ago. I was terrified when I found out that I would never be able to find someone who would understand what I was going through and want to be with me, a feeling I am sure many people on this site have had. After a year of struggling, I joined PS. I was skeptical about online dating websites but within the first couple months I received a message from Jacob. We were living about an hour and half apart at that point in time, but decided it would be worth it to meet up. We started meeting up every weekend after that. Although we live 3 hours apart right now we are still making those weekend commutes and it has been one of the greatest relationships I have ever been in. It is incredible to have have someone who knows what a struggle finding out you have HSV can be and is supportive. I just wanted to let people on this site know that you should never give and you deserve someone who won't judge you but who can really be there for you.

Advice to other members:

We wanted to share our story on this site because we know that sometimes it can be hard to find another person who has the same condition as you and who you have a connection with, even on this site you can spend a lot of time looking. We both received emails from people who we would never have been compatible with, and we don't want anyone to feel like they should have to settle for being with someone just because they have the same STD. We were very fortunate to have found each other and don't see our relationship ending any time soon. Don't give up, keep making an effort to meet new people.

Well I didn't know what I was doing when I signed up for this website. I didn't know if I was ready to date after I found out that I was diagnosed with herpes. I just wanted to get to know everybody else's story and how I should handle and adjusted to this new kind of life. After about a month, I was starting to give up already, but then I found out that this beautiful woman who is now engaged to me, favorite me on her favorite list. I knew something special about her. So after about a month of completely ignoring me and now wanting to answer my phone calls she finally gave up and she knew that there was a great chemistry between us. After a month of talking I made a daring move and asked her if I could meet her for the first time. She took the bait. Lol, When the day finally came to meet for the first time, I was so nervous that I did not know what to expect but the real deal from her. Once I stepped foot off that plane and saw her for the first time. I knew she would be my future wif... Read Full Story>>

When I got Herpes, it was from someone who pretended to be my friend for three years. He knew he had it and he really didn't give a crap about if I got it or not. He flat out lied to me and told me he had had a clean std test. When I turned up with it a week later, he told me to go to the doctor and ask them for Valtrex. "You will be fine." He told me.

Needless to say, I didn't have a lot of faith in humanity or men left after that happened to me. When I found this site I was too scared to date or to seek out a relationship. I had told several people about my new found curse and had mixed reactions. This site gave me the confidence and understanding I needed to be happy.

I met Jeff in the summer time of 2013. He was the second person I met off this site. I wouldn't say we had sparks immediately due to my history and reluctance. But there was definitely something about him I wanted to know more of. We met on the Quay in New Westminster for a stroll on one of the hotte... Read Full Story>>

Advice to other members:

For guys messaging girls, don't copy/paste messages and mass send them. You are not fooling anyone and we know you do it. Be polite and use proper spelling and grammar. No woman wants an unintelligent and ill-educated man. If that's what you are, you should go on a site like POF and stop wasting everyone's time here.
